Established in 1993, Royal Garden Plaza Pattaya was the first shopping mall in the city. The complex, combining four storeys of shops, restaurants, attractions and entertainment, occupies the entire block adjacent to Soi 13/2 between Pattaya Beach Road and Pattaya 2nd Road in South Pattaya. The mall's most identifiable feature is the plane that detaches from the side of the building on the Second Road. The plane belongs to Ripley's Believe It or Not, a museum showcasing strange, curious and bizarre items from around the world, which is also the most popular attraction in the mall. Although Royal Garden Plaza was opened almost 25 years ago, its appearance is still clean and modern, as the mall has been renovated and well maintained over time. At the ground and first floors of mall, visitors can find international retail shops, such as Guess, Levi’s, Jaspal, Nautica, Triumph, Gap, Swarovski, Esprit, and French Connection, as well as restaurants like Coffee Club, Pizza Company, Swensens, Starbucks, Burger King and KFC. There are also plenty stalls on the walkway, so visitors can find some more items apart from the shops. The 2nd floor hosts the Ripley's World of Entertainmen, a large entertaining center for the whole family featuring five outlets: Ripley's Believe It or Not Museum, Ripley's Haunted Adventure, Ripley's 4D Moving Theater, Ripley's Infinity Maze and The Louis Tussaud's Wax Museum, which has just been opened and houses wax figures of famous people and celebrities such as Angelina Jolie, Michael Jackson and David Beckham. At the top floor of Royal Garden Plaza Pattaya, visitors will find Food Wave, an international food court with a beautiful sea view catering up to 400 persons. International cuisines include: Thai, Italian, Indian, Vietnam, Chinese, Korean and even Turkish.

How to get there: the shopping mall is located on the Beach Road not too far from Walking Street, so it is very convenient for anyone staying in Central Pattaya.
