Central Plaza Marina

Central Plaza Marina, formerly known as Central Center Pattaya, is the biggest shopping mall in North Pattaya. The mall is conveniently located on Second Road in front of Soi 2 & Soi 3, not too far from the theatre that hosts the Alcazar Cabaret Show. Although it was established in the 1990s, it is still a popular spot with shoppers which has also recently received a facelift to a more modern looking. The mall boasts over 130 shops, brand name stores and stalls, selling an impressive selection of clothing, shoes, jewellery, accessories, souvenirs and electrical goods, particularly in the ‘IT Corner’ area that is filled with numerous kiosks offering mobile phones and accessories at affordable prices. Major clothing retailers such as Bata, Lee Jeans, Triumph, Camel, Wrangler and Levi’s have stores here, as well as many Thai fashion brands you do not find in other malls. Named Marina Market, the main central area of the first floor is open to the roof and setup like a street market and houses many small stalls selling everything from clothing to tourist souvenirs. The shopping center is anchored by the Big C Extra supermarket and the SFC Cinema. While Central Plaza Marina is not Pattaya’s newest or largest mall, the Big C Extra is one of largest supermarkets in the city and offers a wide selection of goods ranging from groceries and fresh food, to appliances, clothes, towels, cosmetics, electronic equipments and much more. Featuring six-screen, the SFC Cinema is located on the 3rd Floor and is one of the big three cinemas in the city, behind the ones at Central Festival Pattaya Beach and the Avenue shopping malls. There are also a number of places to eat at mall. On the inside you’ll find the Food Zone with popular dining spots like Fuji Japanese Restaurant and the MK Restaurant which offers Thai Hot Pots. Outside there is a colourful courtyard with plants for public shows, concerts and special events, where McDonald's, KFC, Starbucks, Zen Japanese Restaurant and Pizza Pizza by Yanee are located.

How to get there: the shopping mall is conveniently located on Second Road right in front of Soi 2 & Soi 3, so it is very convenient for anyone staying in North Pattaya. For those staying a little further out like South Pattaya, Naklua or Jomtien the mall can be reached by using a shared blue songthaew at a cost of 10/20 baht per person. Read More
