Jomtien Beach is located 3 km south of Pattaya city at the end of Thapphraya Road, separated from the city centre from the Pratumnak Hill. It is the longest beach of Pattaya, a golden sand beach long more than ten kilometres in total, among its northern part, Jomtien, and the southern part called Na Jomtien. The waterfront, Jomtien Saineug Road, is a continuous succession of hotels, resorts with bungalows, condominiums for tourists and restaurants. In the north area there are the most impressive buildings, such as the skyscraper Ocean One Tower, a 91-floor condo, which with a total height of 367 meters is one of the tallest buildings in Thailand and one of the world's tallest residential buildings. At Jomtien even rises the tower of Pattaya Park Water World, a complex that includes a water park and variety of entertainment for children. The Pattaya Park Tower is the first and the highest tower on the sea in Thailand. At Observation Deck, on the 55th floor, you can admire a panoramic view of Jomtien Bay and Pattaya City, or enjoy the thrill of a down jump with the Speed Shuttle and Sky Shuttle. On the 52nd, 53rd and 54th floor there are three revolving restaurants, where you can enjoy international buffets at lunch or sumptuous dinners with seafood. The northern part of Jomtien Beach is the most vibrant and crowded area, where you can practice all water activities like Jet Ski, parasailing and banana boat. The stretch of beach to the north, between the Avalon Beach Resort and Pattaya Park, is known as Dongtan Beach and is dedicated to gay tourists. Vendors continually pass along all Jomtien Beach, one after another in an endless procession. Often annoying, they are trying to sell all kinds of objects, food, souvenirs and clothing. Na Jomtien is quieter, with more beautiful sand and clear water, ideal for those who enjoy a more relaxing beach or to families. Along the road in this southern area of beach is situated the Ambassador City Jomtien, which is one of the largest resorts in all of Asia, with more than 4000 rooms. Jomtien Beach can be reached from city centre by taxi and songthaew.
