Jomtien Beach (หาดจอมเทียน)
Jomtien Beach is divided from Pattaya by Thepprasit Road, the southern route into Pattaya City. Located about 3 km south of Pattaya, the beach is about 6 km long and is much broader and generally in a better shape, and the local atmosphere is quieter and more family-oriented than Pattaya Beach. Jomtien consists of high-rise condominiums, hotels, bungalow complexes, shops, bars, and restaurants lined along Jomtien Beach Road (Thanon Jomtiensaineung), which runs parallel to the beach, as well as along Jomtien Second Road and the small side sois. Despite the great development of high-rise condominiums, there are resorts and nice hotels where the atmosphere is still peaceful making the are very popular amongst locals, family travellers, retired expats and Bangkokians. Jomtien is the right place for those who love enjoy peace and quiet and would like to escape the hustle and bustle of Pattaya's entertainment. Jomtien Beach is also known for its water sports, such as jet skis, para-sailing, scuba diving, and for several annual sports events, like a Jet Ski World Cup event, and festivals, attracting visitors from around the world.
