Pattaya Beach is the main beach in the world-famous seaside resort. The crescent-shaped beach long about 4 km runs parallel to the city centre from North Pattaya Road to the famous Walking Street. This is the Pattaya's most crowded tourist area, with a multitude of shopping malls, hotels, restaurants and bars located behind the beach. Coconut palms border the waterfront characterized by a paved sidewalk long as the entire beach, suitable for jogging or just strolling. The golden sandy beach is not very wide, no more than twenty meters in high tide times. The shallow water was unclean for long time, due to the many boats stop on the seafront and the discharge of waste water directly into the sea. Since the wastewater was collected from new pipelines, the situation is much improved and the beach is now comparable to that of Jomtien. On the waterfront are practicable all beach leisure activities, such as Jet Ski, parasailing and banana boats. The sea is always crowded even from the speed boats that carry tourists to the nearby Koh Larn. The many kiosks on the seafront sell only cold drinks and fruit juices, the Thai food dishes are cooked by the restaurants located on the Beach Road, and then carry to the beach with a little over price. If you want the typical Thai street food, it is sold by the many vendors running continuously along the beach.Read More
