Victory Monument BTS Station is a skytrain station on the Bangkok's Sukhumvit Line in Ratchathewi District. Better known as Anusaowari Chai Samoraphum, namely its official name in Thai, the station is located on Phaya Thai Road just south of the Victory Monument, one of the landmark and major traffic intersection of Bangkok. The station is linked to all four corners of the huge traffic roundabout by a skybridge, which allows a great view of the central statue commemorating the country’s victory in the Franco-Thai War. Victory Monument is in the heart of a busy commercial area in the north of Siam, a neighbourhood full of affordable fashion stores, malls and local restaurants. There are also several food stalls selling a great variety of street food. These are situated around the station and the roundabout, since the monument is a major BMTA bus stop and also the main hub for the minivans running from Bangkok to suburbs areas, provinces around capital, and many popular tourist destinations, such as Damnoen Saduak and Amphawa floating markets, Khao Yai, Ayutthaya, Koh Samed, Pattaya and Kanchanburi.
