Tao Poon MRT Station is an elevated station on the Purple Line of Bangkok's Metropolitan Rapid Transit system. This line of MRT runs from south to north-west, between Tao Poon, about 1 Km to north of Dusit district, and Khlong Bang Phai Station, in the adjacent Nonthaburi Province. Opened to service on 6 August 2016, the station is located on Pracha Rat Sa 2 Road near Tao Pun Junction in Bang Sue District. Tao Poon will be an interchange station between the Blue Line and Purple Line, an extension until Bang Sue MRT Station on the Blue Line is under construction, it is expected to open in 9 August 2017. Currently the two stations are connected by a shuttle bus.
