Located on Samui's west coast, Lipa Noi is a beatiful beach separated in two stretches from a small lush promontory. Despite is just south of Nathon, the largest town in the west coast and island's main pier, the beach is poorly developed and little frequented, although it is one of the most finest in Koh Samui. Surrounded with tall palm trees, Lipa Noi has fine white sand, there are no rocks or coral along the shore or in its crystall water and the sea bottom is shallow for at least 100 meters, making it ideal for swimming and for kids. The beach is quite busy only during the weekend, when its safety attracts many families with children especially among the local population. Lipa Noi is also a great place where you can admire wonderful sunsets. Adjacent to the beache there are a few well-spaced accommodation in bungalows, some mid-range resorts with restaurants, as well as some beachside luxury villas to rent. Since 1998, the Nikki Beach brand has chosen this beach to open its new exclusive Nikki Beach Club & Resort Koh Samui, a beach resort where elegant design, luxurious accommodations, delicious cuisine, music and entertainment combine perfectly. Lipa Noi houses also the Samui Dhama Healing Centre one of Samui's more intense fasting spas. Apart from the expensive Niki Beach Club, there's little else to do in the area for what concerns nightlife.
