White Sand Beach

Had Sai Kao, meaning White Sand Beach, is the Koh Chang's most famous beach. Located on the west coast, about 5.5 km south of Ao Sapparot Pier, it is a 3 km long strip of white sand surrounded by shallow crystalline waters. The beautiful beach is a true paradise for sunbath and relaxes, its calm waters are perfect for a refreshing swim, and there is not parasailing, banana boat or Jet Ski that that can disturb your relaxation. Had Sai Kao's best areas are those in the middle and on the northern tip of beach. White Sand Beach was the first resort to be developed for tourism in Koh Chang with a few bamboo bungalows. Nowadays it offers accommodations for every budget, from cheap bungalows and guest houses to prestigious hotel or village resort placed beach front. The price varies considerably depending on the location and type of accommodation. Along the costal road you can find bungalows for 500-800 THB or hotel for 1,500-2,000 THB for night, while along the beach the prices increase up to 2,500 THB for a standard room in hotel and 15,000 THB for a suite with sea views in the most luxurious hotels. Luxury villas with private pools are also avaiable, prices starting from 15,000 THB per night. In terms of infrastructure White Sand Beach offers number of restaurants, souvenir shops, travel agencies, opticians, jewelers, pharmacies, banks, many Mini Market and all kinds of services.
