Haad Taphao, or Hat Taphao, is the Koh Kood's longest beach. Located in Ao Taphao, the bay in the center of the west coast, the beach is a strip of soft white sand, lined with coconut trees that are reflected in the clear waters. Haad Taphao is never crowded, as well as all the beaches of Koh Kood, and ideal for swim and relax. This area of the island has been developed to tourism only recently. Numerous resorts were built on the coast and on the hill overlooking the beach, however there are many stretches of coastline free from settlements. In the centre of Ao Thapao is placed the Nam Leuk Pier, the island's main pier. Siri White, Koh Kut Express and Boonsiri Fantasea docks at this pier.
