Ao Klong Yai Kee

Ao Klong Yai Kee is a beautiful bay on Koh Kood 's west coast. Situated north of Ao Taphao, the bay is divided in two distint areas by a lush promontory. Both sections house beautiful white sandy beaches surrounded by crystal clear waters, the northernmost is the most beautiful and longest. Secluded by Koh Raet, the small elongated island that lies just in front of bay, the sea around the beaches is ideal for swim, snorkelling and kayaking. In the middle of the bay flows the river Khlong Yai Kee, which can be traced back with a kayak until the base of its upstream waterfall, the Namtok Khlong Yai Kee. Ao Klong Yai Kee has some of the finest hotels of Koh Kood. The accommodations in the bay range from high-end price resorts to hotels extra luxury, however cheaper accommodations can be found along the river Khlong Yai Kee. The bay is about 4 km north of Nam Leuk Pier in Ao Taphao. To reach the bay from the pier, follow the road leading to Klong Mad village at north, just before the village there is the road leading to Namtok Khlong Yai Kee through the forest, then following the signs for Captain Hook Resort you will reach Ao Klong Yai Kee.
