Samae Beach is the other main beach of Koh Larn. Located on the west side of island, it measures just over 650 meters in length. Tourists arriving at the docks of Naban or Tawaen Beach can get to the beach with a shared songthaew, fare is about 50 THB. The white sand is a little more grainy than usual, but this probably makes the sea even more beautiful and crystalline. This beach is visited by 1000 to 3000 people daily during the high season, but despite being busy is relatively quiet. There are no many jet skis or boats as in other beaches; a long line of buoys partially closes the bay and guarantees peace and security for those who practice swimming or other water activities. There are at least 15 restaurants along the entire beach; they serve Thai and international dishes, mainly Russian, Chinese and Italian cuisines. Immediately behind the beach there are clothing shops and about a dozen of bungalows to stay. A recent addition to Samae Beach is a fairly large resort at the south end of the beach. This resort has over a hundred rooms, several dining areas, and a conference room large enough to accommodate two hundred persons. The resort also offers free shuttle service to Naban Pier for its guests. Read More
