Saphan Taksin BTS station is a skytrain station on the Silom Line in Sathon District. The station is located at the entry ramp of Taksin Bridge, at the end of Sathon Road in the east bank of the Chao Phraya River. Close to the station are placed two famous Bangkok's landmarks, the luxurious Shangri-La and Lebua at State Tower hotels. Besides an all-suite luxury hotel, the iconic State Tower building is home to Bangkok’s most famous rooftop bar, Lebua Sky Bar, as well as several fine dining options such as the Mezzaluna and Sirocco restaurants. Sirocco became world-famous after it was used as the set of some scenes of movie The Hangover Part II. As for shopping, next to station there are several options, including Bangkok Fashion Outlet and a big Robinsons Store, while River City mall, that is located a little further north, is easy accessible thanks to a free shuttle boat from Sathorn Pier.
