BTS Ekkamai

Ekkamai BTS Station is a skytrain station on the Bangkok's Sukhumvit Line in Khlong Toei District. The station is located on Sukhumvit Road at the intersection with Soi Ekkamai or Ekamai, Sukhumvit Soi 63, next to Ekkamai Bus Station namely the Bangkok's eastern bus terminal that connects the capital to all eastern provinces as well as famous tourist destinations, like Pattaya, Koh Samet and Koh Chang. The main Ekkamai Street, Sukhumvit Soi 63, is similar in attendance and notoriety to nearby Thonglor Road, Sukhumvit Soi 55, with plenty of upscale bars, cafes and concept restaurants, serving Bangkok’s young and chic types. As for shopping, the station is directly connected to Major Ekkamai, which hosts a modest mall, cinema, bowling alley, karaoke and lounges, as well as the cool Gateway, a Japanese concept mall, with several Japanese restaurants. Bangkok Planetarium, the oldest planetarium in Thailand, is next to the Ekkamai station within the Science Centre of Education.
