The neighbourhood runs parallel to Sukhumvit Road and includes the areas between the Rama IX Road and New Phetchaburi Road, and the northern part of Ratchadaphisek Road. Since the completion of the MRT Blue Line and ARL City Line, the area developed into an entertainment mecca for the locals with dozens bars, theatres, karaoke, bowling alleys, cinemas, massage parlours and shopping malls. Foreign visitors are drawn from its several seafood restaurants, massage parlours and cultural performances, including Siam Niramit Bangkok. Ratchada includes also the well-known Royal City Avenue, or more simply RCA, one of the most famous entertainment and clubbing areas in Bangkok.
