Ao Suan Yai Bay

Located on north-west coast, Ao Suan Yai is the other main bay of Koh Mak. The bay is home of a beautiful beach, consisting of a strip of white sand a couple kilometres long surrounded by crystal clear water of a beautiful turquoise colour. From Ao Suan Yai with the kayak is easily accessible Koh Kham, the island facing the bay. Located just a few hundred meters away, in the presence of low tide it can be also reached on foot. By kayaking you can also reach the northern tip of the bay where is Ao Tao Kai Beach, a small hidden beach also known as Turtle Beach. In the bay is located the Koh Mak Resort Pier. At pier moors the Panan Speedboats connecting the island with the mainland. This is also the jetty from which boats depart toward Koh Chang, Koh Kood and Koh Wai.
