Freedom Beach is a secluded and private beach lying inside Ao Chalok, the large bay on the southernmost tip of Koh Tao. The very small and quiet beach has an intimate atmosphere that makes it perfect for a break. Surrounded by crystalline waters of a beautiful turquoise color, the tiny stretch of white sand is dotted with large polished granite stones. The beach is totally undeveloped; apart the only one small resort with restaurant sets between the vegetation. As it is a private beach, no more than a dozen people enjoy this little paradise on an ordinary day. Freedom Beach is ideal for lying down a hammock, taking some stunning pictures, swimming in crystal clear waters and snorkelling over the beautiful coral reef very close to the shore. The beach is easily accessible with a longtail boat ride from Mae Haad. To reach the beach with a scooter follow the main road toward south until Ao Chalok, pass the small village behind the bay and then turn right onto the uphill road leading to John Suwan Rock, the southernmost viewpoint on the island. A couple of hundred meters before the viewpoint there is the parking of Taa Toh Resort & Freedom Beach Resort. From resort a 100-metre steep staircase leads to the beach. Read More
