Sunrise Beach, Hat Chao Ley in Thai, is the largest beach in Koh Lipe extending along the entire eastern side of the island. It consists of a long strip of white sand surrounded by crystal turquise waters that are ideal for swim. Sunrise Beach is also the best snorkelling and diving area in the island. Directly from the shore you can dive or snorkel onto its shallow reef for thousand of square metres and even explore Koh Kra and Koh Usen, the two small rocky islands just in front of beach. On clear days, from the northern tip you can see the neighboring Koh Adang, while all along the beach it is possible to distinguish in distance Koh Tarutao and Langkawi in Malaysia. Numerous accommodations are available for tourists, more distanced than Pattaya Beach they cover every price range.
