Practically there is only one beach in Hua Hin, named Hat Hua Hin it runs for 8 km from one side of city to the other, delimited by a small rocky headland to the north and Khao Takiab hills to south. The beach continues even after the headlands, in both directions, but technically not Hua Hin anymore, belong to other districts. The beach is a long strip of fine white sand, with tropical sea pines lining the shore. The beach is widest in the south area which is the ideal place for play football or frisbee. Restaurants and hotels on the waterfront are more concentrated in the central part of the beach. Many of the hotels have beach concessions and offer the equipment necessary to practice various water sports such as windsurfing, sailing, para-sailing and banana boats. Hua Hin and the west coast of the Gulf are becoming well-known and appreciated among tourists for windsurfing and kite-surfing or kite, thanks to strong winds from the northeast. The only beach activities that do not practice in the Hua Hin beach are snorkelling and diving, the shallow waters around it are not suitable.
