Loh Lana Beach, also spelled Loh Lannah or Loh Lanna, lies in a pristine and secluded bay on the northwestern coast of Phi Phi Don, right on the opposite side of Loh Bagao Beach. The 500-metre long white sandy beach is totally undeveloped, apart from a hotel under construction which seems to have been abandoned since 2014. A cement path links the two beaches, so the lack of accommodations and facilities, like bars and restaurants, in Loh Lana is not a problem as Loh Bagao Beach offers a good choice of both. The shallow waters of this horseshoe-shaped bay offer great snorkelling opportunities, expecialy at both ends. With a walk of a couple of hundred meters across the jungle to west you can get to Nui Beach, a secret beach offering outstanding snorkelling, which faces one of Phi Phi’s natural landmarks, the Camel Rock. Loh Lana Bay is reachable with a adventurous 3km hiking trail from Ton Sai up and down the lush hills of island, passing trough the Phi Phi View Point. Walking the trail takes about two hours, so do not forget to bring water for this soft-adventurous hiking. In alternative you can reach the beach with a more comfortable longtail boat ride from Ton Sai Bay. The journey takes about 25 minutes and will cost you about 1,500 Baht.Read More
