Loh Bagao, also referred as Loh Ba Gao, is a quiet and scenic beach in the middle of Phi Phi Don's east coast. With a length of 800 meters, it is one of the longest beaches of island. The pristine stretch of white coral sand lies inside a lazy bay surrounded by crystal clear water. The sandy bottom has a fairly contained depth for the first 250 meters, then goes steep towards the deepest sea, while at both ends of bay the coral reef is more close to the shore. Loh Bagao is never crowded and is a great place to enjoy a relaxation day, swimming and snorkeling. Behind the beach there are a few seafood restaurants and some accommodations including the luxurious Phi Phi Island Village Beach Resort, formerly Outrigger Phi Phi Island Resort & Spa. Loh Bagao Bay is reachable with a adventurous 3km hiking trail from Ton Sai up and down the lush hills of island, passing trough the Phi Phi View Point. Walking the trail takes about two hours, so do not forget to bring water for this soft-adventurous hiking. In alternative you can reach the beach with a more comfortable longtail boat ride from Ton Sai Bay. The journey takes about 25 minutes and will cost you about 1,500 Baht.Read More
