Thai Festivals
In Thailand there are many festivals and religious ceremonies throughout the year, so when an event ends another is already at the door. Local people, especially in turistc areas, it is generally warm-hearted, very expansive and friendly with tourists. The foreigners are welcomed with a smile and the Wai, the gestural form of greeting in Thailand, followed by the word Sawadee, the term used to say welcome, hello or goodbye.
