Northern Bus Terminal Bangkok
The Northern Bus Terminal better known as Mo Chit is the biggest bus station in Bangkok. The Northern terminal serves destinations in the North, as Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai, and North-East of Thailand, all Isan cities, and some destinations to South, as Phuket, Samui or Krabi. For anyone who is not caming from Suvarnabhumi Airports, which have bus lines connecting with the terminal, and already stay in the capital, the closest Skytrain station is Mo Chit, the nearest subway station, MRT, is Chatuchak Park. Both are not very close to Mo Chit, about 15-20 walk, if you have luggage the best solution is to get a taxi. Mo Chit is departure point of many companies private, as well the Government Transport Company. Private companies which operate from Mo Chit terminal offers bus services for Central, Northern and North-Eastern provinces. The Government Company offers bus services for all destinations in Thailand, Central, Northern, Eastern, North-Easternas, Southern as well as for Laos, Pakse and Poipet, and Cambodia, Reap and Phnom Penh. Edifice of Mo Chit Terminal spreads over four floors. At 1st floor, ground floor outside, there are 59 ticket counters of private companies which sell tickets for the Central and Northern provinces such as Phitsanulok, Sukhothai, Kamphaeng Phet, Tak, Lampang, Chiang Mai, Nan, Chiang Rai, Chiang Khong, Mae Hong Son. At 1st floor inside there are others 58 counters selling tickets for the Eastern provinces, such as Chachoengsao, Aranyaprathet, Sriracha, Chonburi, Pattaya, Rayong, Trat as well as for the Central provinces close to Bangkok, such as Pathum Thani, Singburi, Lopburi. The ticket counters from n° 20 to n° 24 are dedicated at Government Transport Company, which sells tickets for all destinations in Thailand as well as for Laos and Cambodia. At 3rd floor there are 112 counters and all of them sell tickets to all the North-Eastern provinces, Isan, such as Nakhon Ratchasima, Surin, Buriram, Ubon Ratchathani, Nongkhai, Mukdahan, Udon Thani, Sakhon Nakhon. The Departure platforms are located outside, at the back of the terminal, if you are on the 3rd Floor it is directly accessible by a covered foot bridge. At south of the Departure platforms is the Minibus Station where depart minibus to many destinations, as Kanchanaburi, Ratchaburi, Ayutthaya, Kamphaeng Phet, Nakhon Sawan, Chonburi, Sriracha, Pattaya, Chanthaburi, Rayong. The Minibus Station is also the Arrival Terminal for all buses arriving at Mo Chit.
